South Coast Distillery
Approached by South Coast Distillery to produce the logo and label designs. Wanting to embrace the their location in the Illawarra on the NSW south coast, the logo became an abstract reference to the Illawarra Escarpment, a mountain peak dipping down to the ocean.
To reflect the quality of the product a minimalist approach to the labels was taken. The label was split into two sections, separated by a wave that reflects both the logo and the bottle shape. This finer detail allows the logo to stand on its own without distraction, while the lower portion is allowed to focus on the product details. A silver foil was applied to the labels, lifting the sense of quality.
